Backup Arx One

This tutorial enables you to activate Arxone backup monitoring on your Esia.

Introduction

Arxone greatly simplifies the use of its backup systems by managing all its agents from its servers. So there's no configuration page on your Unity: everything is done from your Esia, in our cloud or hosted on your premises.

All you need is the access token for your group of Arxone nodes. You'll then see in Esia the backups of the child devices in that node group.

On your Arx One backup management console

Console home page

From the Arxone console home page, top right click on Authentication Token.

Token management page

Then click on Generate a token (in orange on the right).

Configuring the authentication token

Here is an example of how to configure a token (Warningall fields are important) :

  • Description Allows you to find the token in the Arxone console if you want to delete it later.
  • Expiry date This is important because Esia will no longer be able to access Arxone after this date.
  • Access rights access rights: read read only on the following sections : Administration, Data, Supervision.

Saving and recovering the token

Here you can copy and paste the created token to :

  • Set it up in your Esia.
  • Save it elsewhere (a token can only be retrieved when it is created).

Esia side

  • Add a node of type Backup server

  • Select the driver arxone - api.
  • Fill in the form with the previously created token.

To continue, return to this page: Enable back-up monitoring
