This tutorial was carried out on an Eaton 5PX 1500 UPS. To activate SNMP on an Eaton UPS, go to the web interface. Once logged in as administrator, the page below appears. Click on “Settings” at the top right.

Then click on the SNMP tab

Check the “Enable” box, “SNMP V1” and then the small pencil to the right of the “public” community.

On the screen that appears, change the “Active” drop-down menu from “No” to “Yes” and click on “save”.

The pop-up disappears and the community becomes “Active”.

You can click on “save” (bottom right) to complete the configuration.
